ISLAMABAD: The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has raised the price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) by Rs3.68 per kilogram, effective February 1, 2025.

According to an OGRA notification, the new LPG price is set at Rs253.97 per kg, bringing the cost of an 11.8 kg domestic cylinder to Rs2,997—an increase of Rs43.52 per cylinder (1.47%).

The LPG price adjustment is linked to Saudi Aramco’s Contract Price (CP) and the US dollar exchange rate. Compared to the previous month, Saudi Aramco-CP increased by 1.6%, while the average dollar exchange rate saw a slight 0.19% rise, contributing to the revised LPG consumer price.

The price hike is expected to impact household budgets, especially in areas where LPG remains a primary fuel source for cooking and heating
